Born and raised in Newfoundland I’ve been working as an actor, director and playwright in Canada for the past 35 years. I began my career as a writer/actor with the Mummers Theatre Troupe inNewfoundlandin 1976. In 1978 I was a founding member of Rising Tide Theatre and in 1979 was a founding member of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador and the Stephenville Festival of the Arts. In 1991 I moved to Vancouver to focus on writing plays. Since then I’ve been produced across the country as well as the U.S. I’ve also had a number of plays produced for CBC Radio.

In 2000 I had the great good fortune of being appointed Artistic Director of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador. Currently  I split my time between Newfoundland and writing in my home base of North Vancouver.

I’ve had over twenty different professionally produced plays – for family audiences: “Peter Pan,” “A Christmas Carol,” “Robin Hood” and “Arthur – Boy King.” Comedies like my “Ed & Ed” trilogy, and “The Honourable Member” as well as dramas: “Elvis & Mavis” and “The Known Soldier.”

Have a look at some of the details here; don’t hesitate to leave a comment if you saw one of the plays! And of course, if you feel like producing one…drop me a line.

See ya at the show!
